Overall experience
I have had an amazing time at college so far. The friends I have made are here to last a lifetime and the city has brought many new adventures. I think the most important advice to give to people picking a college is to not follow your friends! I am glad i didn't follow all my friendds and go with them to big schools. Being apart from my friends has allowed me to change my life and make new memories! The small school has made me feel more comfortable and welcome, also not worried albout classes and the work teachers give out.
Selection process and gaining admission
Getting into the college was not too hard. I felt well qualified with many activites on my resume and a decent gpa in high school. Students that look into Texas Lutheran should try to be involed in their community and keep grades up at school.
Funding and scholarships
I have been in choir for years and coming to Texas Lutheran with a choir scholarship has made my college journey very exciting. I am getting to do something I love and recieve money to share my passion with others. I found out about the scholarship from the admissions office when I was on a campus tour.
Academic support
The classes at Texas Lutheran are very small but it is great for people that need the closer connection with professors. I normally study 16 hours a semester and have not ever been confused in a single class. The teachers make lessons clear to understand and if you have problems there are tutors offered, for free, to answer questions.
Campus life
I have loved Texas Lutheran sense I stared classes on day one! Being part of greek life has made my experience so much better. I feel greek life has helped me make many friends and helped me be more involed around campus! Seguin is a small city but I think that makes it more exciting. Its nice to be away from loud area and I feel more relaxed not having to worry about getting lost in the city and traffic!
