About this scholarship:
This scholarship from Miller College's Miller Scholars and Honors Program was developed through the generous estate gift of alumnus Wally Miller. Miller Scholars exemplify strong academic drive, professionalism, motivation, leadership, and ethical and moral character. Miller Scholars is an academic and scholarship program developed to financially support and academically challenge top students to achieve at the highest levels. Open to incoming freshmen, the program offers a powerful and vibrant experience that is second to none; it honors and supports the highest-caliber students enrolling in the Miller College of Business at Ball State University. The program combines the Miller College Honors Program with academic funding throughout the four-year college experience. To be considered for the Miller Scholars program, they must be admitted to Ball State University and have indicated a major in business.

Eligibility
Applicants should maintain a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA, complete the Miller Honors Program curriculum and actively participate in all programming and benefits of Miller Scholars and the Honors Program.
How to apply
Applicants must submit two letters of reference from adults who are familiar with their achievements, abilities, potential, and character. One may be from a teacher, counselor, or school administrator; the other must be from someone outside their high school. These letters should be on professional letterhead (if available). their references may send the letters directly to us, or provide them in a sealed envelope. Miller Scholar Applications and required letters of reference must be received by January 31. Finalists for the Miller Scholar award will be required to participate in an on-campus interview day, which will be Saturday, February 18, 2012. Applicants must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). They need to file a FAFSA every year they are in college. The yearly application deadline to receive maximum consideration for undergraduate financial aid is March 10. Applying for financial aid is an annual process.
